The MEMSA Mission
The purpose of this Association shall be to advance practical standards of applied electricity and maintenance within the mining industry; and to promote safe practices for protection of operating personnel and equipment.

MEMSA's Sixty Second,
2008 Annual Meeting & Technical Symposium MEMSA 62nd annual meeting and symposium was highlighted by an address by Mr. Bo Davis and technical papers by some of the top experts in their fields.
2008 will be the Sixty Third meeting of The Mining Electrical Maintenance and Safety Association, MEMSA, dating back to the start of our predecessor organization, Open Pit Mining Association which was founded in 1945. Thanks to many hard working volunteers, miners, and sponsor venders. Thanks for the individuals who founded this wonderful organization is still going after all the years.
MEMSA invites all those interested in the mining electrical field to join
with fellow miners at the annual 2008 meeting and technical symposium to be
held September 3,4,5 in Clearwater at the Sheraton Sand Key. “MEMSA is Networking and Sharing Knowledge in the New Millennium”
