  • MSHA safety roundtable discussion (all attendees invited) Florida Regional Manager MSHA and Chief Electrical Inspector have committed to attend.

  • MSHA Electrical Safety Training Trailer will be on display with MSHA personnel available to demonstrate and exhibit how it can be scheduled for mine sites and used for electrical safety training.

Mr. Ben Hart, MEMSA Director of Safety, will chair the Safety Workshop. Ben is Manager of Florida Mine Safety, Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Ben is a Certified Mine Safety Professional (CMSP), and the first in Florida to be certified January 2000. Ben is sought after a presenter at many state, regional and national safety conferences & seminars.

The Safety Roundtable Discussion Session on Friday morning will provide a fitting wrap-up to our MEMSA meeting. MSHA representatives are scheduled to be with us to discuss MSHA trends and problems, as well as provide valuable insight into the safety regulation issue.  Participants will have an opportunity to share ideas about this important subject.
